My heart was racing at the speed of light; I could hear the beat thump, thump, thump pound violently in my ribcage ready to explode. It felt like the electrical activity of my heart was off the ECG heart monitor scale. It felt like I could hear it and it wasn't in my chest anymore. I continued to stare at his crystal clear oceanic orbs, the sun outside shined through the windows of the supermarket as it the penetrating rays hit against his face, the corner of his eyes started to gleam and sparkle like the fairy lights of a Christmas tree. The way his tousled dirty blonde hair fell over and neatly frame of his face, made him somewhat ... look like an angel in disguise. A sly smirk curved upwards from his pale pinkish lips meeting his eyes. A burning lump began to develop in the centre of my oesophagus; I slowly opened my mouth as the words tangled in my throat making me choke them out. "Sterling" I whispered under my breath so the other shoppers behind me wouldn't hear. "Sir" the cashier interpreted "you got it or not?" she raised her thin black eyebrows. He quickly took the nickel from my hand and handed it to the cashier. She smiled "Thank you" she pressed a few more buttons on her machine until the white receipt printed. "Here you go, have a nice day" she handed him his receipt and his shopping bags. I watched his every move closely.
